Beat Reporter - Lake Erie Crushers
Matt is a 22 year old Kent State student majoring in news journalism and a minor in political science and a born and raised Clevelander. A 2009 graduate of Avon Lake High School, Matt got his first job in sports covering high school football for the Lorain Morning Journal at age 18 and has continued to work in print since. Including college newspapers, Matt has worked for six different newspapers and filed more than 200 articles.
In 2012, Matt was covering Kent State baseball when the team made its historic run the the College World Series in Omaha. While he now covers the Lake Erie Crushers, Matt once worked for the team part time and brings a wealth of knowledge about the organization.
